What permits do I need to move an oversize load in Queensland?
Oversize and overmass loads require a permit from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR). Loads exceeding standard dimension or mass limits need either a Class 1 Oversize/Overmass permit or access under a published notice. We handle the entire permit application process on your behalf as part of our service.
When do I need a pilot or escort vehicle?
Pilot vehicles are required when a load exceeds certain width, length, height or weight thresholds. Generally, loads over 4.5m wide require one pilot, over 5.5m require two, and loads over 8.5m wide require a police escort. We assess your load and arrange the correct escort level.
How much does heavy transport cost?

Are you insured?

How far in advance should I book?
For routine oversize moves we recommend 5–10 business days to allow for permits and route planning. Complex overmass moves or those requiring police escorts may need 2–4 weeks. We also offer 24/7 emergency transport for urgent requirements.
What areas do you service?
We're based in Brisbane and service all of Queensland, with regular runs to NSW, Victoria, the Northern Territory and Western Australia. Key service areas include Brisbane, Ipswich, Toowoomba, Rockhampton, Mount Isa and the Bowen Basin mining region.
What size loads can you move?
Our fleet handles loads up to 200 tonnes with multi-axle low loader configurations. We move excavators, dozers, graders, transformers, bridge beams, wind turbine components, mining plant and construction machinery of virtually any size.
Do you provide route surveys?
Yes. Every significant move begins with a route survey to identify bridge load limits, overhead obstructions, tight turns and road conditions. This is included in our service and is critical to a safe, compliant delivery.
Can you transport to mine sites?
Absolutely. We're experienced in mine-spec transport and our drivers hold the required inductions. We regularly deliver to Bowen Basin, Galilee Basin and Surat Basin operations, as well as remote Mount Isa and North West Queensland sites.
What are your operating hours?
We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Heavy moves often need to travel at night or during designated windows to minimise traffic disruption, so we schedule around what the job requires — not office hours.
